One of the best-known sheep breeds, the primitive Shetland sheep are hardy, colorful, and produce beautiful fiber. The natural color this fiber started out grey and was dyed over, giving it a snazzy heathered look. Though it's not as fine as ecru fibers, it is an easy fiber to spin with a staple length of 3-4 inches and makes for sturdy a yarn. Country of origin: the United Kingdom.
Hand-dyed using dyes that are Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS 5.0) registered compliant and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 compliant. Color images may vary due to screen and monitor differences.
