Targhee is a domestically grown wool that is processed in the United States. The Targhee breed was developed at the Experimental Sheep Station in Dubois, Idaho in the mid 1900’s. The foundation stock were ewes of Rambouillet, Corriedale, and Lincoln bloodlines bred back to Rambouillet rams. 23/23.5 microns. The silk adds a bit of gloss while the bamboo creates a interesting contrast in color. Super springy and fun to spin! Hand-dyed using dyes that are Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS 5.0) registered compliant and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 compliant. Color images may vary due to screen and monitor differences.
