February Updates!

Here we are - back in action! The winter holidays are behind us, the clean up after the holidays should be behind us... It's the perfect time to try a new craft or get some old UFOs off your back! I completed my Gigi Jumper which compelled me to fish out another sweater that had been languishing for some time. The front and back body panels are complete, so just sleeves to go. Most nights I sit with the work in my hands, staring at the TV, accomplishing nothing. I'll get there eventually.

Have you caught any of my 60 second videos on Instagram? I started posting them a few weeks ago. Each Friday I share a quick clip showing a tool or technique.

We're back to "regular" winter hours at the Shop (listed at bottom). Don't forget that curbside pick-up is still an option. If you prefer to shop on your own, there are plenty of opportunities to do that. Need some instruction? Feel free to schedule a private lesson.

Bringing back an old favorite this month with a Facebook Live Sale! Join me on Saturday, February 20 at 2 pm to catch a glimpse of all the new goods. I have a fresh batch of Polwarth/Silk and just finished the last of the Targhee/Bamboo/Silk. As usual, more fibers will likely pop up before the sale, so tune in to get the best selection.

So many new yarns to share! I made up for my moratorium on buying yarn in 2020 by going a little nuts this month.

We are saying good-bye to Stratosphere (Brown Sheep) and saying hello to NatureSpun Chunky, a sturdy 3-ply. Each 7-ounce hank contains 155 yards. $20.25/hank. Also, new colors have been added to both Cotton Fleece and NatureSpun Worsted.

Three new gems from The Fibre Co. are coming in. Cirro is a lovely brushed Suri alpaca blend in sport weight. Plus two new lines will be arriving as mini skeins! Colorwork is extra fun with Amble (washable wool/alpaca sock yarn) and Cumbria (fingering weight wool/mohair blend).

Gist just released Beam, their new 3/2 organic cotton for weaving. Each 8 ounce cone contains 630 yards and comes in a lovely soft collection of colors. Maybe you’re looking for something a little lighter? Try an 8/4 rug warp or 8/2 cotton. New colors just added!

FYI
: While I have decided not to participate, WILD & WOOLY will be taking place at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea, OH on February 13 from 11 am to 4 pm. Free admission.
